Dear guest, we request you to please read the terms and conditions of our services. Booking a safari with Ntungo wildlife safaris Ltd shows that you have read, fully understood, and therefore accepted the terms and conditions described below:

RESERVATIONS

In the process of booking a safari with Ntungo wildlife safaris Ltd, we shall need your full names as indicated in your passport, intended dates of travel if known, number of people you are traveling with, genders, ages of the whole group, accommodation preferences, car type preferences. This will enable us plan your safari well in accordance to your needs and preferences.

For Mountain Gorilla and Chimpanzee permits, we need your passport number, full names as they appear in the passport, date of birth, nationality and home address. Please be advised that Gorilla trekking permits have to be booked well in advance (3 months in advance) in order to confirm their availability. Additionally, to book a gorilla permit, payment has to be made because they can easily be sold to another interested party. Children below the age of 15 are not allowed to track Gorillas and Chimpanzees. On the day of the trekking, any person with communicable diseases will not be allowed for the activity. Ntungo Wildlife safaris Ltd is not responsible for any individuals rejected by the UWA park authorities.

Most the accommodation we book has limited capacity and therefore it is necessary that reservations are made in advance. In case of any changes to the preferred accommodation, Ntungo wildlife safaris Ltd will do their best to make the changes and thereafter make a confirmation to you. We reserve the right to charge an amendment charge where need be, depending on the parties involved. This will be included in the invoice.

On confirming the safari, the client shall inform Ntungo wildlife safaris Ltd of any preferences and special requests including but not limited to: medical requirements, nutritional limitations, disabilities etc. Where possible, Ntungo wildlife safaris Ltd will meet the needs.

 

PAYMENT:

A 50% deposit is required at the time of confirming/ booking your safari. The rest of the balance is to be completed 30 days before the start of your safari. If a reservation is made within 30 days of departure, 100% of the payment shall be made at the time of confirmation of the trip.

For Chimpanzee and Gorilla permits, confirmation will be made with 100% payment so as to purchase the permit.

All prices are quoted in US Dollars. Payments made by direct deposit into the account attract a bank charge which will be borne by the client. Payments made using MASTERCARD & VISA attract a 4% surcharge and payments have to be made 60 days prior to the commencement of the safari.

 

CANCELLATION OF THE SAFARI

All cancellation requests have to be made in writing and shall be effected on the day of receipt. Refunds on all prepaid money will be based on cancellation fees charged by hotels, activities and banks. Nevertheless, a 50% charge on all cancellation within a period of 14-30 days of the safari, 75% charge within 2-24 days. Note that no refund for cancellations within 48 hours or less prior to the trip. We reserve the right to deduct all the expenses incurred from any money paid. Be advised that Chimpanzee, Gorilla and Golden monkey permits cannot be refunded. Rather, they can be postponed up to 2 times.

While every effort is made by Ntungo Wildlife Safaris Ltd to ensure that all bookings and arrangements are completed to the client’s full satisfaction, Ntungo wildlife safaris Ltd cannot accept liability for any injury, damage or delay caused directly by hotels, lodges or any other service agency or company with whom bookings have been made.

TRANSFER OF BOOKING:

In the occurrence that you are unable to take part in the booked safari due to extraordinary circumstances, we may transfer the booking to another party provided the arrangements remain the same including activities, lodges etc. Gorilla, Chimpanzee and Golden monkey permits can be transferred to another party and just a change of personal details.

ALTERATION OF TOUR:

There is provision to change some parts of the tour given that there is adequate time to do so. Once payments have been made, any surcharge pertaining to the alteration shall be borne by the client. In the event of unforeseen circumstances before arrival, Ntungo wildlife safaris Ltd reserves the right to alter the safari. In case of failure to join a trip in time, there will be no refunds made to the client.

TRANSPORT

On most of our safaris, we use 4WD minibuses and 4WD Land cruisers which carry at most 6 Pax with pop-up roofs. In the case of a group of more than 12 Pax that prefer to use one vehicle, we shall take on the 28 seater bus.

OUR TOUR GUIDES:

Ntungo Wildlife safaris Ltd has trained and has a team of very experienced driver guides who will lead the tour. These will also be the only persons allowed to drive and operate the cars on the safari. The decision of the driver on all matters, such as route taken are final. Ntungo wildlife safaris Ltd reserves the right to alter any route or arrangement due to unforeseen circumstances including but not limited to weather, road closures, challenges within the national park or hotels and security considerations. In such scenarios, alternative arrangements will be made as circumstances permit.

ACCOMMODATION:

Accommodation is based on double, twin, triple, single or family cottages. They are also garded as luxury, midrange and budget corresponding to 5 star lodges, 3 star and 1 star lodges respectively. Some rooms have bathroom and toilet en-suite and there are those without the amenities en-suite. This information will be shared during the booking process.

TOUR COSTS

The shared tour costs are inclusive of all activities as stipulated in the itinerary, all transportation in the specified car, meals, permits where applicable, park entrance fees, bottled water etc.

The costs exclude the following: traveler insurance, international flights, visas, meals out of the stated meal plans, telephone calls, beverages other than water in the car, cigarettes, laundry and personal expenses including tips.
