5 Day Epic Wildlife and Gorilla Safari

Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to The Medley of Wonders

After your breakfast, your driver guide will pick you up from the hotel and then drive to Queen Elizabeth with a stop over at the Equator and en route Lunch in Mbarara before you proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park. This drive will take you through some of the stunning landscapes and villages where you will stand chances of sighting the famous long-horned Ankole Cow in the Western Uganda Areas, huge banana plantations and the famous Ankole Tea plantations before you arrive at your lodge in the Medley of Wonders

Day 2: Game Drive and Boat Cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park

After an early morning breakfast (6:00 Hrs), you will embark on another exhilarating adventure in the Kasenyi plains as you go on a manual search for the game that call this expanse home and later return to the lodge for a lunch break before you go for a 3-hour boat ride that will bring you closer to Kazinga Channel’s dwellers and occasional visitor that usually slope down the channel to quench their thirst in the. afternoon hours. After the close and personal encounter on the channel, you will return to the lodge for an evening relaxation or simply go back to the bush for an evening game drive to try your chances for more game.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi INP through Ishasha

On this day after an early breakfast, you will set off and drive southwards to the Gorilla Highlands through Ishasha Sector, famous for its Tree Climbing Lions. While in Ishasha, you will have a 2-hour game drive as you check out different fig trees and thickets for these masters of climbing as well as other wildlife that call this true wilderness home. After the drive, you will have a picnic lunch and head to the Gorilla Highlands, penetrating through the impenetrable forest.

Day 4: Gorilla Tracking and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

On this day, wake up a little bit early for your hot breakfast and later drive off to the reception for a briefing before you start your hike to the Mountain Gorillas. After the briefing, you will be taken to the trailheads to commence your lifetime adventure as you walk through this thick jungle, a trek that will reward you with a face-to-face encounter with our closest cousins – the Mountain Gorillas.

After an about 3 hour ultimate experience, you will return to your guide who will be waiting for you, and set off for Bunyonyi for some relaxation at the lake.

Day 5: Transfer to the airport

Have a relaxed morning breakfast and set off later for a return journey to Kampala/Entebbe with lunch en route and a major stopover at the Equator
