5 – Day Rwanda Safari
On this day, you arrive in Kigali after landing. Meet and greet with the driver from Ntungo wildlife safaris. After checking into the hotel, drive out to the city and have a city walk, or if you prefer to use public transport and see how one can have their way around an African country, this can be arranged. During this tour, we shall have a major stop at the Genocide memorial which commemorates the 1994 Genocide. This will give you so much information about the history of Rwanda and how it has got to where it is. After this, the craft market is a highly recommended stop as you will have the chance to buy some beautiful souvenirs from this great country. After breakfast, drive from Kigali to Musanze which is Northwest of Kigali. Enroute, you will testify that indeed, this is the land of a Thousand hills. You won’t miss the farms, pyrethrum plantations and farmers selling plant produce by the roadside. On arrival in Musanze, you will proceed direct to your hotel for relaxation and prepare for the next day’s experience.

Early this morning after a sumptuous breakfast, drive out to the park headquarters for a briefing to take you through the Gorilla tracking experience and what to expect on this exercise. The walk is a guided one and so enriching as you walk through some rough patches while searching for mountain gorillas. This [ark is a rain forest is home to not only the mountain gorillas, but also the golden monkeys and several bird species including: the handsome francolin, Rwenzori double collared sunbird among others.

A morning transfer to the park headquarters. Continue with the Park guides for the hike to the Dian Fossey grave. The world’s most known researcher on the mountain gorilla, Dian Fossey, was buried in these mountains after she was found dead in the bedroom of her cabin in the Virunga mountains. This hike lasts for at least 3 hours, depending on how fast you can go.
