3 Day Tour Murchison Falls National Park

Day 1: Kampala to Murchison falls NP

Today, you will be picked by your driver guide from your hotel or home and then you will drive Northwards towards West Nile to Murchison falls NP, Uganda’s biggest National park. This is home to over 100 mammal species including the elusive pangolin, the giant of the park; giraffe, the elephants, lions, leopards, among others. Also home to over 175 bird species including the Ground Abyssinian hornbill, the African giant eagle to mention a few.
The park derives its name from the spectacular falls where the River Nile pushes its way through a gorge of just 7m to fall to a depth of 45m. This is the incessant roar of the park as the river strikes the bottom, such a magnificent sight. You will have a tour to the top of the falls on arrival in the park.

Afterwards, continue to the ferry to cross to the northern sector to check into the hotel. Depending on how you feel, there’s a chance to have a short evening game drive before dinner.

Day 2: Murchison falls NP

Today, early rise, expect a bush breakfast. Packed breakfast will be given at the lodge, head out for a morning game drive to find the game activity ongoing before the sun becomes too hot and makes the hunters lazy. During the game drive, you will have a stop and have your breakfast, right in the middle of the jungle.

Later on, return to the lodge for relaxation and lunch. A boat cruise to the bottom, of the falls and then back to the lodge. A tranquil sundowner boat cruise at 5:30pm as you return offers a beautiful view of the sunset reflected on the river.

If you so wish, have another game drive before dinner and retiring to bed.

Day 3: Murchison falls NP to Kampala

Today you will wake up at leisure. Time to relax and enjoy yourselves without any bother from the world except the amazing chirps of birds in the jungle. Just remember to be in time for breakfast.
You will then leave the park and drive out towards Kampala and even have chances to visit Ziwa Rhino sanctuary to wrap up the short tour with these relaxed mammals.
