Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Kampala, heading southwest towards Queen Elizabeth National Park. En route, you will stop at the Uganda Equator for memorable photos and a brief experience of this geographical landmark.
Continue your journey with a lunch stop in Mbarara, then proceed to the park. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and later head out for an evening game drive.
Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s oldest and most popular park, is renowned for its diverse wildlife. With some luck, you may spot lions, leopards, elephants, Cape buffaloes, and Defassa waterbucks, among others.

Day 2: Game Viewing & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise
Start your day early with a sunrise game drive, accompanied by a bush breakfast in the wild. This is one of the best times to spot predators and other wildlife as they begin their day.
Later, visit the Katwe Salt Lake area to learn about traditional salt mining practices before returning to the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, head to the Kazinga Channel for a scenic boat cruise. This natural channel connects Lake George and Lake Edward and hosts one of Africa’s highest concentrations of hippos, along with crocodiles and abundant birdlife.
Return to the lodge in the evening, with opportunities for more wildlife sightings along the way.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kyambura Gorge
After an early breakfast, drive to Kyambura Gorge for an exciting chimpanzee tracking experience.
Following a briefing by park rangers, descend into the gorge—often referred to as the “Valley of Apes”—in search of habituated chimpanzees. The trek can be challenging but highly rewarding.
After the experience, return to the lodge for relaxation and overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park & Boat Cruise
After breakfast, check out and drive to Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda’s smallest savannah national park, known for its scenic landscapes and rich biodiversity.
Enjoy lunch en route before arriving at the park. Upon arrival, proceed for a boat cruise on Lake Mburo, where you can spot hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species.
In the evening, embark on a short game drive before heading to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Morning Game Drive & Departure
After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in Lake Mburo National Park. This park is the best place in Uganda to see zebras, along with topis, elands, buffaloes, and over 300 bird species.
After the game drive, exit the park and visit a nearby community to experience the Ankole culture, including the famous long-horned cattle.
Begin your return journey towards Entebbe, with a stop again at the Uganda Equator for photos or souvenir shopping. Continue to Entebbe for your departure flight or overnight stay.
